A user-friendly e-health service for professionals and patients
Helseboka is a digital health platform that gives patients a clear overview of their personal health data: easy access to medical records, upcoming appointments, lab results, and direct communication with their doctors.
Norwegian doctors Marius Christensen and Anders Stormo had a vision: give patients better insight into their health data, while equipping clinics with better tools for daily operations and patient follow-up. A search for experts in app development and machine learning led them to Ambolt AI in 2017. The Helseboka app launched in 2019 and continues to evolve with new features and a growing user base.

When the pandemic hit
When COVID-19 broke out, Helseboka's digital triage and booking proved to be exactly what an overwhelmed healthcare system needed. Municipalities that had struggled with phone queues of 700+ callers got a virtually queue-free workflow. The platform was presented by the World Bank as one of six companies worldwide with relevant pandemic solutions.

Norway's national pandemic platform
Helseboka grew into Norway's largest pandemic platform, and the solution streamlined the management of the Norwegian vaccination programme by around 50 percent. The platform is developed according to best practices in information security, and is used by municipalities, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics and healthcare professionals across the primary healthcare sector.
